SHOW STARTS:
Ouch! David Watson was, in Amanda’s own words – "Awful!"
He wailed his way through The Lion Sleeps Tonight whilst top to toe in camo and the judges were literally cringing -and buzzing obviously! Piers went so far as to say, "You could be the worst singer in Britain!"

On the flipside we have Sam, Bobby and Lyle – The Barrow Boys. They mananged to get the judges to ‘take back’ their buzzes – Go figure! Simon and Piers both buzzed far too soon (thinking the boys would be rubbish), but they were fabulous acrobats, with wheelbarrows. Unique, unusual and different – A breath of fresh air and they made me smile bless ‘em. Simon admitted that he buzzed, "before the best bit" and Piers added, "I’ve never seen anything like this in my life!"

Latvian Julia Naidenko, now lives in London. Ant and Dec are delighted when Julia tells them she’s going to be Belly Dancing. She wiggles and jiggles and every man in the theatre is on their feet with a look of pur delight. Simon says, “that was Olympic Gold medal standard seriously good" and Piers wants to see “much more” of her! DO I really have to say she made it through…

Brother and sister act Ben and Becky Milan-Vega are out to impress with their energetic ballroom routine. The judges are impressed and so am I! Simon says “that was really really really good, you’ve got a great connection, brilliant” and Amanda adds “technically it was perfection really fun to watch”. Is this BTG or Come Dancing? Why don’t we have a dance version of this? I know they have two top reality dance shows in the U.S. come on Simon, get one up and running!
How weird is Nick Hell’s act? It’s not enough that he has enormous holes in his ears, he’s going to use them! Look away now… Ouch! He clips a dustbin to his ears and starts swinging it around, while his girlfriend throws bowling balls at his stomach – Who thinks this stuff up? If you woke up in the morning and thought today I’m going to do this… You’d go back to bed wouldn’t you?

On one hand we’ve got Margaret, who thinks she’s channeling Maria Calas – She’s not! …In fact, I think my ears are bleeding.
…and on the other hand we’ve got Ajay, a chronic street dancer who’s staging a sit-down protest because the judges buzzed three times. Did you see him? He was like your uncle at a wedding!
I LOVE KIERON GAFFNEY!
He’s such a sweety and you can tell his mum is so proud of him. He takes to the stage and tells the judges he’s going to play Wipeout on the drums – Piers looks at the other judges nervously and Simon rolls his eyes… What a shocker, he’s fantastic!

The crowd give him a standing ovation and his mum is in tears at the spectacle. Simon says, "To me, the prospect of a boy of your age playing the drums is horrific, but that was brilliant!" Piers tells him he’s destined to be a superstar drummer. I can’t believe he’s only been playing for a year, can you?

He’s been breaking, popping and locking seven nights a week for five years now (no, I’m not kidding) and there’s just no stopping him. He receives a standing ovation and the judges are literally in awe. "This is why I love this show, it’s because of people like you!" Amanda loved it. "This show is about spirit and variety and you’ve got plenty!"

LOL! You’ve got to love Simon haven’t you? The Hot Honeyz perform a saucy dance routine where they strip down to their teeny leotards. Simon is impressed with the idea and puts them through, but adds "I have a problem with what you end up in. To move forward it’s a matter of less is more!" Simon, are you channeling Sid James today? Easy Tiger!
Woo! Go on the Brit Chix, you rock minxes! They had real ‘tude’, a great sound and unique twang. I’m looking forward to seeing more of them in the semi-finals – This country needs a good female rock band doesn’t it? This trio could be one to watch…
No,no,no. I’m not a fan of Martin Macham and his light up guitar. I loved how he played (don’t get me wrong) and was swept away like everyone else. But I guess I’m just not one for gimmicks, especially when they involve a beautiful instument. I have to agree with Simon that his singing left a lot to be desired. "That was terrible. If we let you sing, you could single handedly close down the show."
After his performance Piers tells Martin “you just rocked the Hammersmith Apollo” and Amanda says “I think I buzzed too early as that was pure genius”.
Martin’s mother in law Pat is not impressed with Simon’s critique. She shouts “you’re a nasty man” from side of stage and then storms up to the judges, “Simon I’m his mother in law. He’s got very little confidence anyway and you have probably just belittled his confidence even more, I think you were really really nasty”. With that she walks off stage apologising to Martin incase she’s “embarrassed him again”. LOL! Not the first time then eh? He’s mortified!

Ouch! Tough group for Diversity that. No one would want to be in Susan Boyle’s group and with Natalie and Sue Son too, they’re going to have to battle! Dance like you’ve never danced before boys!
I can’t believe that young Kieron Gaffney didn’t make it through – It’s a travesty. A boy with real musical talent cast aside for novelty acts, strippers and bellydancers. What are the judges thinking?
As always two acts per semi-final will go through to Saturday’s grand final. The first selected via public vote and the second chosen by the judges (from the 2nd and 3rd place acts).

Too bad about the drummer, he was really good. I hope that Natalie wins bcause Im sick hearing about Susan all the time. Flawless are ace too, and that Faces of Disco. As well as that, 2 Grand, and MD Showgroup are good.
Why are people saying this is a tough group with Susan Boyle in? Against some of these she has no chance – she\’s guaranteed a better life now with all the publicity she\’s had and some acts are sooooo much better. I would say Diversity are the best of the this group, followed by Sue Son – let\’s hope it goes their way. Good luck Diversity.
I am pluging for Susan Boyle, although she has had a lot of publicity this last few weeks, it could ruin her chances, but I still think she will make it, she has a beautiful strong voice, one that dos\’nt need a michrophone to project the voice to all of the auditoriumyes I think she stands a good chance.
I don\’t feel I want to be judgemental at this stage, the standard of acts are so high; I know I won\’t be voting for Jamie Pugh, he just isn\’t real, or the Sugar Plum Fairy. Simon rightly brought back Sue Son and I echo what a few other scribes have said, I think the panel should re-think the situation about Kieron Gaffney, this lad has got real talent and something different to offer, he deserves a chance.
Absolutely agree with the comments re. Kieron, the drummer, he is FANTASTIC!!! How could the judges put such tacky rubbish through and leave that talented young boy out? I f this show isn\’t to be changed to….."Britain\’s got warped", they need to reconsider….and fast. Simon….put your foot down!!! Ms. Boyle has already been discovered and is going to make someone ( Simon?) a lot of money, so tonight is, for me, between…Diversity, Sue Son the violinist and Natalie the little girl singer. Let\’s hope the judges are professional tonight!!!

I agree Kieran Gafney should have been put through. The judges all agreed he was a fantastic drummer so why put an act through that all 3 of them didn\’t agree on and leave him out.
the belly dancer with the red hair should never have gotten through his place should have gone to the young drummer. From the first group my top 3 Susan Boyle, Diversity and Sue Son.I am waiting for Greg Pritchard to come up, I would love to see him in the final group. We must remember here the act that wins will be infront of the Queen. Lets face it there are plenty in the 40 she would not be amused.
I was really disappointed to see one selection of contestants go through, the one with Dark Vader in it, I really thought that group of people were going out, there were so many other better acts that didnt get through. My favourites are Diversity,, loved their style and attitude, the little diva girl, and the 37 year old pizza delivery guy!!

I am so angry right now, what a load of nonsense, why has the drummer boy Kieran not in the top 40. The big woman with the giant boobs has not got talent and neither has Darth Vader. i want diversity to go through – they really deserve it. i want to see a flawless vs diversity dance battle final. as for susan boyle, she should pull out – she doesnt need to compete any more and give the other acts a better chance.
A stripper is NOT going to win. The Queen is not going to want to see a stripper I think so why give strippers like Fabia the hope. I respect that she can go on to stage and do that in front of sooo many people but at the same time this is a show that youngsters watch (my little sister is 9) even if it is past watershed.They are also denying real talent. What happened to Kieron? this is just stupid now, the auditions are funny fairplay but when it gets serious hey put darth vader, the fat guy and teh one who hangs things of his ears through as well as the guy whomakes himself sound like a jazz with his mouth. Britain wants TALENT not rubbish. the korean guysin army stf who were holdin each other up with one hand, the drummer kid n the freestyler shuldve gone through. this shows a joke, good ob diversit n flawless got through.
Susan Boyle could get by even if she didn\’t get through and even though I support Susan because I am a violinist myself I have to support Sue Son in this one.I realised that could be seen wrongly. I meant BUT because I am a violinist like Sue I\’d have to support her. I didn\’t want you all to think I thought Susan was one. That would make me look like a doughnut.

how could kieran gaffney and andrew archeos not get through over darth jackson and nick hell?! maybe they didn\’t want loads of the same type of people, but no one else played drums and andrew archeos was one of the better singers! there\’s no hope for faces of disco, nick hell, darth jackson and julia naidenko tonight, as they\’ve got susan boyle, sue son, diversity and natalie okri to compete with! out of those acts, i would most like to see sue son and diversity go through. susan boyle is fantastic but she\’s reached her peak to quickly and people are getting bored of her. with other singers like shaheen jafargholi (who i would love to see win as i think he\’s the best singer in the competition) and shaun smith (who has a great voice and would be successful), who may appeal to a younger audience like myself, the final could end up having A LOT of singers in it (as there is brit chix, floral high notes, good evans, greg pritchard, hollie steel, jamie pugh, etc – i\’m not saying these will all get through, but if they did) if susan boyle got through and then shaheen and shaun got through, which is why i would prefer diversity and sue son to get through. i want more of a variety in the final. they are phenomenal and i think they are more exciting than susan boyle. natalie okri is just the cutest and has a really good voice for her age, but i don\’t think she deserves to get through over sue son, diversity or susan boyle. these are the acts i would like/love to see in the final, even though they all can\’t obviously go through and it may come across as a bit hypocritical: shaheen jafargholi, diversity, flawless, sue son, aidan davis, 2 grand (i cried my eyes out!), ben and becky, greg pritchard, hollie steel, jamie pugh, julian smith, natalie okri, shaun smith, stavros flatly and susan boyle.

Tayler just wrote what I was thinking last night!!!! How the hell did the little drummer boy (Keiran) NOT get through!!!! ??? And yet, we have DJ (NO) Talent and Darth Jackson and the other freaks……Sorry but it does not make any sense. I understand the variety thing but there has to be some talent. Screaming "DJ Talent, Britains Got Talent" at everyone means nothing. Thank goodness for the rest of the really talented folk.
Personally, I\’d like to see Diversity go through. They are an inspiration for youngsters today to work collaboratively, follow the dream and have fun simultaneously.

Personally I loved Nick Hell. Thought he was really funny, daring and completely different. He was certainly the only act i ws literally fascinated by & was physically unable to look away!

Like everyone, I\’m pretty shocked that Kieron didn\’t get through.However, Susan has been overhyped to the nth degree, she\’s not that good. I won\’t deny that she can sing, but it\’s been blown way out of proportion. Just like Connie Talbot was in the first year (then again, Connie couldn\’t sing).I\’m up for Diversity to win it. I also hope Stavros Flatly make it to the finals. And that Hollie Steel goes out.
It doesn\’t matter how over hyped susan boyle is,she does have a unique voice,she should win in my opinion,but there\’s this awful,\’\'vote for the prettiest little boy\’\’ elememt in this country,last years winner was a pathetic choice.
Poor Harmony,they didn\’t have a chance,as don\’t any other young female act,females control the phone vote and unfortunately it\’s a pretty boy contest,we can see blondie here took a dislike to them,it\’s a strange jealousy element,which is why young girls never have a chance in competition\’s like this (unless simon cowell really pushes for them.)
